COMPOSITION

老山檀 LAOSHANTAN is an exquisite grade of white sandalwood, sourced from ancient trees in the virgin forests of southern Mysore, India. These venerable trees complete their natural life cycle and fall to the forest floor, where they rest for over a decade, undergoing a slow process of natural weathering before being transformed into this rare and refined incense by Weirong, a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner and disciple of Master Liu.

PHILOSOPHY

Sandalwood has long been revered for its spiritual significance. In Indian tradition, the white sandalwood tree is believed to possess divine qualities, emitting a bright Qi and powerful diffusion energy. It is often used to carve Buddha statues for temples, symbolizing its sacred nature.

USE

老山檀 LAOSHANTAN purifies the space, dispels negative Qi, and helps prevent the spread of harmful bacteria in the air. Its sweet, uplifting aroma invigorates the spirit and alleviates feelings of melancholia. Additionally, sandalwood is known for its ability to regulate Qi and relieve pain. When experiencing abdominal pain or intestinal discomfort, the scent of this incense can help soothe the body and promote quick relief. Sandalwood also boasts anti-inflammatory properties and clears cold and damp energy from the body. By increasing Yang energy in the space, it fosters a harmonious and revitalizing environment. Precautions : Pregnant women should avoid sandalwood, as it activates blood circulation and may induce labor. Menstruating women are also advised not to use it, as its blood-activating properties can prolong menstruation or increase flow. For women experiencing delayed periods, sandalwood may be used intentionally to help stimulate menstruation.
