老山檀 LAOSHANTAN INCENSE

老山檀 LAOSHANTAN incense is made with white sandalwood trees from the virgin forests of southern Mysore, India. 老山檀 LAOSHANTAN means "ancient wild sandalwood". This incense is handcrafted by Weirong, a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner in Beijing. 

This incense is made with over 50 years old sandalwood trees that fall down in the soil after natural death and then undergo a natural weathering and incense-forming process for more than 10 years before being used.

PHILOSOPHY

For a long time, sandalwood has been closely associated with the spiritual world. According to Indian beliefs, the white sandalwood tree has divine qualities. It contains a bright Qi and powerful diffusion power. Thus, white sandalwood is also often used to carve Buddha statues in temples.

USE

老山檀 LAOSHANTAN incense purifies the space, drives away foul Qi, and prevents pathogenic bacteria from spreading in the air.
