PHILOSOPHY

FUCHEN 拂尘 is a poetic name inspired by Chan/Zen Buddhist philosophy, meaning "to remove the dust." In a broader sense, it signifies the embrace of purity and inner peace.

COMPOSITION

FUCHEN 拂尘 is the signature incense of Master Liu, an exceptional medicinal incense carrying pure Yang energy. The name, inspired by Chan Buddhist philosophy, literally means “to clear away the dust,” symbolizing the purification of the mind and the return to inner clarity and peace.

This incense is handcrafted by a disciple of Master Liu following the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Its complex and mysterious recipe contains more than twenty medicinal ingredients carefully sourced from Southeast Asia and the Middle East, including frankincense, myrrh, saffron, amber, cypress, agarwood, and sandalwood. The secret formula was originally created by a revered Taiwanese Buddhist monk, the master of Master Liu.

USE

True to its Chan name, FUCHEN is designed to purify spaces and cultivate a meditative atmosphere. With its distinctive deep orange hue, the incense carries a warm Yang energy that resonates with the heart center, making it particularly suited for meditation, calming the mind, and soothing the body.

When burning this incense, observe the movement of the smoke. If it lingers and gathers like mist, it suggests that the space contains stagnant energies and the incense is actively purifying them. Once the space becomes clear, the smoke rises straight and light, naturally flowing upward.
