COMPOSITION & USE

These sun-dried premium tangerine peels (Chenpi) from Xinhui, Guangdong Province, have been carefully aged for 18 years under the guidance of Tea Master Liu. Through this long process of natural fermentation, they transform into a precious treasure of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Chenpi is renowned for its ability to dissolve phlegm in the lungs, reduce excessive mucus, and cleanse the respiratory system. It also helps to dispel dampness from the body, support Stomach Qi, and improve digestion, easing bloating and poor appetite. In addition, it gently supports liver cleansing, restoring vitality and replenishing energy.

It can be enjoyed as an infusion on its own or blended with tea — particularly well suited to pair with aged Shou Pu’er or aged Shoumei white tea. You may either boil water with Chenpi before brewing your tea, or simply add a small piece (no larger than a fingernail) directly into the teapot with your tea leaves.

Beyond tea, Chenpi is also a cherished culinary ingredient, often used in stewed dishes such as pork, duck, or beef — where it imparts a rich, aromatic flavor while simultaneously aiding digestion.
