PHILOSOPHY

In Chinese poetry, 秋落 QIULUO describes autumn leaves that twirl in the wind. Ancient Chinese scholars particularly appreciated autumn, a season that is, however, associated in the collective imagination with melancholy and nostalgia for the beautiful days.

Nevertheless, the scholars were deeply inspired by the symbolism of autumn, which represents the precious and much-awaited time of the harvest. The flamboyant and warm colours of the autumn period brought balm to their hearts. They were moved by the beauty of the dried flowers that embody more than ever life in their eyes. Dressed in our timelessly designed QIULUO blouse, we invite you to fully appreciate each season, without judgment, and to reconnect with Nature and yourself.

QIULUO blouse is the subtle encounter between Chinese traditions and the present moment. Its aesthetic is inspired by traditional Chinese costumes with the vision to bring the past back to life. The handmade buttons give it a unique touch.

DYEING

All our garments are naturally dyed with indigo leaves in the mountains of Guizhou. At DEYI 德逸, we only use natural dyes and no chemicals, because we are committed to design while respecting Nature. Thus, our fabrics can present some differences of tone in their surface that depends on local meteorological conditions & on the way in which each artisan has worked the material.

Each fabric is unique: they are a testimony of several days of handmade work. Small imperfections in the weave or dyeing cannot be considered as defects. They are inherent to the artisanal character of our pieces. Imperfections means humans behind your clothes.
