清之 QINGZHI | Harmonized Dark Tea

We curate a unique collection of “harmonized teas” — medicinal tea blends crafted by Tea Master Liu for both physical and emotional healing. Rooted in the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, these teas are designed to balance the energy of the Five Elements throughout the seasonal cycle. Tea Master Liu is the founder of Juécháhuì, a tea school where he transmits the essence of tea as a gateway to spiritual cultivation and Chan (Zen) philosophy.

COMPOSITION & USE

QINGZHI 清之 is a special tea crafted by Master Liu for modern urban dwellers who may not always have the time or space to practice the Gongfu Cha ritual. It is an exquisite blend from the Golden Flowers Series — MOZHI, JINER, and BAILING — combined with two aged ripe Pu’er teas that have matured for more than fifteen years. This tea is suitable for all body types and harmoniously integrates the qualities of the three teas.

MOZHI is particularly beneficial for purifying the lower energetic center of the body (Xiàjiāo 下焦), especially supporting the large intestine. JINER acts on the middle energetic center (Zhōngjiāo 中焦), helping to regulate and support the stomach. BAILING clears the upper energetic center (Shàngjiāo 上焦), benefiting the lungs.

This purification tea can be enjoyed in any season and throughout the year, and is especially effective when consumed on an empty stomach. Master Liu recommends drinking it during the Mǎo 卯 hour (5–7 a.m., solar time), which in Traditional Chinese Medicine corresponds to the Large Intestine meridian. In TCM, each period of the day is associated with the activity of a specific organ.

In early spring, this tea is particularly beneficial, as it helps the body eliminate toxins accumulated during the winter and supports the seasonal process known as fāchén 发陈 — the activation and renewal of vital movement within the body.
